Cross & Impact Discipleship Training School (DTS) is a foundational school with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) located in Hong Kong. Through this school, you will radically experience God and be transformed through learning what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. You will also put into practice what you have learned through outreach to the least-reached people of the world.
Cross & Impact DTS will be for 5 months. There will be two phases: The Lecture Phase and the Outreach Phase.

WHY Hong Kong
The name Hong Kong 香港 (pronounced as Heung Gong) literally means "Fragrant Harbour." Hong Kong is a beautiful international, cosmopolitan city of 7.4 million people. In 1997, after 150 years of British rule, Hong Kong became the first Special Administrative Region (SAR) of China. With such a rich and dynamic history, Hong Kong has become a "unique fusion of Eastern and Western cultures where the old and the new live side by side." Additionally, the Basic Law of Hong Kong grants freedom of religion; therefore making the city an excellent place for missionary opportunities and missions training, as you can get to experience a diverse melting pot of culture and nationalities in a strategic Asian city.
Hong Kong also offers super connectivity regionally (Asia) and globally. Not only is Hong Kong known to be the primary gateway to China and to Asia, but half of the world's population is within a 5-hour flight distance from Hong Kong. Hong Kong is the place to be if you want to reach people, especially if you're going to reach the unreached. Our vision is going from Hong Kong and to the ends of the earth.
God's Love for the Nations
LOCALLY AND GLOBALLY
The special focus in Cross & Impact DTS is learning to love the nations locally and globally. At YWAM Shanti, you will be immersed in a diverse multinational community where you will be engaged in ministering to refugees, migrants, and ethnic minorities living in Hong Kong.
The refugees, migrants and ethnic minorities come from Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia with religious backgrounds in Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism. You will experience Jesus’s heart for the poor, the strangers, and the marginalized.
1. The Lecture Phase (3 Months)
The Lecture Phase will focus on growing your intimacy with God and knowing His heart for the nations. This will include lectures, community living, worship, prayer, and Bible study. You will be taught by a diverse group of missionaries, Christian leaders, and professionals from around the world whose stories and insights bring not only head knowledge, but life transformation.

2. The Outreach Phase (2 Months)
The Outreach Phase will focus on sharing the gospel to the Nations. During the outreach phase, you will be able to further apply what you learned by reaching out to some of the most unreached people groups in the world. You will be launched to the Muslim World, Hindu World, and/or Buddhist World.
