Shanti means “Peace” in Hindi. Founded in 2006, YWAM Shanti is a Christian non-profit organization focused on reaching refugees, immigrants, and ethnic minorities in Hong Kong. YWAM Shanti works along with local churches & NGO's in reaching the unreached.

THE RICHEST, THE POOREST
Hong Kong is a city of 7.4 million people, a mega-metropolis, with the largest number of skyscrapers in the world, and the financial capital of Asia. Although
Hong Kong is one of the richest cities in Asia, there are 1.2 million people who live well below the poverty line; and of the poorest and most marginalized, are ethnic minorities.
Many of the ethnic minority groups come from Pakistan, Nepal, and Indonesia. They come to Hong Kong with hopes of a new life and a better future. However, upon arrival, they encounter many problems adjusting to the culture and language, even face racial discrimination. Because of these factors, ethnic minorities are vulnerable to financial hardship and mistreatment.
One of the great commandments God calls us to follow is to love our neighbors as ourselves. God loves the foreigners and the sojourners.
“You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself.” Leviticus 19:34
Faith INTO ACTION
We put our faith into action and show the love of God in practical ways. We have a number of ministries, and programs aimed at helping ethnic minorities overcoming obstacles and barriers. Most importantly, these programs are important ways of expressing our love for people and Gods’ love for us all. Our ministries include Children's Ministry, Youth Ministry, Family Ministry, and Neighbour's Ministry.
